Presenter: Laura Weber

Laura A. Weber is the owner and professional genealogist at Genealogy Uprooted LLC. She has
also worked as an Administrator with a private law firm in Albuquerque, New Mexico for over
twenty years. She is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, the National
Genealogical Society, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the New England Historical
Genealogical Society, the Albuquerque Genealogical Society, and the Northwest Missouri
Genealogical Society. Laura is a 2023 alumna of ProGen Study Groups. Additional formal
training includes Boston University’s Genealogical Principles course, with certificates in
Intermediate Foundations from the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy, the American Genealogical
Studies program with the National Genealogical Society, Fundamentals of Forensic Genealogy
at the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy, Writing and Publishing for Genealogists at the Institute
for Genealogy and Historical Research, and numerous workshops and webinars. Laura has also
been a presenter at several symposiums, sharing her love and knowledge of genealogy with
enthusiastic audiences from all walks of life.
