ABCs of DNA | Using Excel for DNA data analysis

The ABCs of DNA is an ongoing series of in-depth presentations on various DNA topics, presented by well-known speakers as well as knowledgeable AGS members.

Topic: Using Excel for DNA data analysis

Presenter: David Nowotnik

David was born in the UK and obtained a PhD in chemistry from the University of London. He has spent his entire working life in pharmaceutical research and development, a career which brought him and his family to the USA in 1988. Before retirement, his interest in genealogy was severely restricted by time, but since then, family tree and DNA research has become his main pastime. Genealogy seemed to be a natural extension of the scientific method he’d employed throughout his working life. David attends many local genealogy meetings in person and many more distant meetings by Zoom. He has given numerous presentations on the use of DNA data in genealogy and on researching ancestors from the UK and Europe. David currently chairs the “Wallbusters” group of his main local society, where the team of enthusiasts provides help with members’ genealogy brick walls, free-of-charge.
