Military Research Special Interest Group (SIG): Buffalo Soldiers in New Mexico

This month’s program: Native Americans respected the African American soldiers for their bravery and dedication. They served in New Mexico at various times in the 19th Century. Just where did they serve and under whose command.

The Military Research SIG is a group interested in researching our ancestor’s military service regardless of their country of origin. Our ancestors who have served provide a rich family history and their stories should be told to preserve their memories. Monthly military programs are presented to inform the members and public.

As long as there is sufficient interest, this group plans to meet the 1st Tuesday of every month, February through November.

The group is open to anyone who is interested in military research.

This event is currently scheduled as a HYBRID EVENT. Come join us in person at the Albuquerque Main Library, Genealogy Center on the 2nd floor (see LOCATION information on the right), or online (see link below to register).
