New Genealogy eResource from the Albuquerque Public Library!

by Lisa Kindrick, Genealogy Librarian, the Public Library Albuquerque and Bernalillo County

The Public Library Albuquerque and Bernalillo County has recently added a new resource that makes more digitized Albuquerque newspapers available to Library customers.

The ProQuest Historical Newspapers: New Mexico Collection includes nine different fully digitized Albuquerque newspapers, including the Albuquerque Journal and Albuquerque Tribune, from as early as 1882 up to 2005.

You can find a link to this resource at https://abqlibrary.org/genealogy/onlineresources. You’ll be asked to enter your library card number to gain access.

You may also continue to find additional free Albuquerque, New Mexico, and other newspapers on NewspaperARCHIVES, Newsbank, and PressReader through the Library’s website. The Library has also recently added free access to current issues of the New York Times

Take advantage of over one hundred free databases available to you through your Albuquerque public library!
